Jeff has a background
in biology, chemistry, and statistics with 30+ years of practical experience designing
and analyzing experiments and clinical trials.
He holds a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry, an MS degree in Fisheries with extensive additional course work in statistics and began his career as a fisheries researcher. After several years, he moved into the
field of medical devices, working for large corporations, contract research organizations, and start-up
companies, gaining experience not only in statistical analyses and data
management, but also in planning, designing, and carrying out preclinical and clinical
studies. In addition, he has experience with
regulatory submissions and interactions with the FDA. He has held positions in industry with responsibilities for biostatistics, data management, clinical affairs, regulatory affairs and quality and was a cofounder of a start-up company.
Jeff has written and contributed to numerous study protocols, statistical analysis plans, clinical trial reports, and technical reports. He has published his own research and coauthored multiple papers with other researchers and physicians.
Jeff had been credentialed as a Certified Fisheries Biologist and is currently a member of several professional organizations, including:
